This will be the band's return to Portugal, with a renewed lineup, with the addition of drummer Colin Brittain and vocalist Emily Armstrong.
The 11th edition of Rock in Rio Lisbon is scheduled for June 20, 21, 27 and 28, 2026 at Parque Tejo, an open-air venue next to the Tagus River and close to Parque das Nações, in the eastern part of the capital. According to the organizers, tickets will be on sale from June 6.
Linkin Park took a hiatus in 2017 after the death of Chester Bennington, one of the band's vocalists, and officially returned in 2024 with the release of “Papercuts,” a compilation of their career hits.
At the end of 2024, they released the album “From Zero,” which is the basis for their current international tour, their first in seven years.
On June 12, the band will begin the European leg of the “From Zero World Tour” in Austria, which will feature shows in France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, and Switzerland.
The calendar will be filled until the end of the year with shows in the United States, Canada, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.
Linkin Park made their live debut in Portugal in September 2003, with a show in Lisbon, at the then Pavilhão Atlântico, now the MEO Arena. They have since returned to Portuguese stages several times, always in the context of festivals, particularly at Rock in Rio Lisbon in 2008, 2012 and 2014.
Rock in Rio Lisbon announced the dates for the 2026 edition in February, promising “improvements in several areas” of the venue.
According to the organizers, in 2026 the area for the public will be 145 thousand square meters, 15 thousand square meters more than in 2024, “ensuring more space for circulation and greater comfort for everyone” and allowing for the expansion of the audiences on all stages.
In addition, a 40% increase in bathrooms and 30% in food areas, new rest areas and a reinforcement of the transport and mobility plan are promised.
In 2024, the 10th edition of Rock in Rio Lisbon had 300 thousand spectators over four days. The line-up included bands and artists such as Scorpions, Macklemore, Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Jonas Borthers, Camila Cabello, Lucas Graham, Ne-Yo, Ivete Sangalo, MC Cabelinho, Luísa Sonza, Ornatos Violeta and Fernando Daniel.
