Two-time national football champions Sporting have already set a date for their return to the Algarve, where they will once again play pre-season games, with three games scheduled, two of them at the Estádio Algarve.
The return to work of Sporting's main football team, which includes João Simões from the Algarve in the squad, is scheduled for July 1st.
As has been customary in recent years, a training period will follow in the Algarve, at the Cascade Resort, in Lagos, this time between July 12th and 21st.
Sporting will have a match behind closed doors against Portimonense, and two preparation matches at the Estádio Algarve.
The first, on July 16, will be against the current four-time Scottish champions Celtic, and the second is scheduled for July 21, against the English side Sunderland, who, eight years later, are back in the Premier League.
