The 2nd Piri-Piri Festival will take place on the 11th, 12th and 13th of July, at Jardim dos Sentidos (next to the Guia E.B. 1, 2, 3 School). T
This year's edition will feature more pepper producers, totalling 20, while last year's edition featured 16. The sauce producers' stands will also feature the participation of foreign producers.

This event is organised by the Municipality of Albufeira with the collaboration of chef Nuno Bergonse. José Carlos Rolo says he is confident that this is “an event on the rise, and this can be seen by the interest it has already aroused among national and foreign producers, as it is the only one in the country to give such importance to a vegetable product that is so appreciated among us, such as the Guia piri-piri chicken. And this is combined with a good atmosphere, with a playful and family-friendly tone, which encompasses a whole universe of spicy food”, he said.
Mister Chilli is the mascot who will be walking around the venue challenging visitors to eat chili, while a fire-breather will perform several times throughout the festival and a tattoo artist will be permanently open to drawing chilies or other motifs on the skin of anyone who wants to inscribe this event on their body.
Entry to the event is free.
