"With the arrival of summer and the end of the school term, there has been a significant increase in demand for the lines that serve the seaside areas of Porto, Matosinhos and Vila Nova de Gaia, while the number of people on the lines with routes close to educational establishments tends to decrease", reads a statement.
Starting on Saturday, with the start of the 'summer/school holidays' timetable, the following will be observed:
- Extension of lines 200 (Bolhão-Castelo Queijo) and 203 (Marquês-Castelo Queijo) to Praça Cidade do Salvador (Anêmona roundabout);
- Increased number of weekend trips on lines 205 (Campanhã-Castelo do Queijo) and 906 (Trindade-Madalena);
- Service on Saturday and Sunday on line ZF (Valadares Estação–Francelos);
- Reduced frequency on lines that serve school areas, especially during peak hours.
