In a statement, the school emphasised that the exhibition pieces “are a testament to both creativity and a strong commitment to sustainability.” Each item was developed individually and crafted using repurposed pinewood slats from a dismantled bunk bed frame.

“This project challenged students to think critically about the life cycle of products,” the school explained, encouraging them to explore design solutions with minimal environmental impact while fully embracing the potential of a widely available material.

Beyond fostering creative thinking, the initiative also aimed to raise awareness about waste reduction and promote environmentally responsible design practices among future professionals in the field. The exhibition serves not only as a showcase of technical and aesthetic skill but also as an example of how sustainable practices can be incorporated into contemporary furniture design.
