Snow weather warning

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) has placed the districts of Castelo Branco and Guarda under a yellow meteorological warning for today.

The notice is valid between 06:00 on Sunday and 00:00 on Monday.

The IPMA forecasts point to snowfall above 1,400/1,600 meters, with accumulation above 1,600 meters, which could "be five to ten centimetres in the Torre area", in Serra da Estrela.
