Only half of Irish renters have claimed their €500 tax credit, according to the Irish Examiner.

The tax credit was introduced in Budget 2023 to help alleviate ever-rising rents.
Citing Revenue’s latest figures, they said just 209,000 of a total 400,000 eligible people have claimed the credit.
Those who have not yet claimed their tax credit can apply through revenue.ie.
