Inside Penney’s, a new six-part series on RTÉ One will provide an inside look at the company.
From its founding as a single Dublin store, Penney’s now boasts over 430 sites across 16 countries. Starting on January 9 at 8:30 p.m., the series highlights the evolution of the brand since 1969 by delving into the worldwide head office located in Dublin as well as the global shops.
The series, which features over 75,000 workers in Europe and the US, focuses on the major players behind the brand's success and its contribution to cheap fashion. “Inside Penney’s” chronicles a busy summer in the retail industry, including the opening of new stores and evaluations of employee performance across the US and Europe.
The series also includes the opinions of Penney’s devoted patrons about the appeal of the brand.
