"AT is aware that some taxpayers are receiving emails supposedly from AT in which they are asked to click on links provided to allegedly access a refund", can be read in a note published on the Finance Portal.

These messages, "are false and should be ignored", and "their objective is to convince the recipient to access malicious pages by loading the suggested links or to make undue payments".

"Under no circumstances should you carry out these operations", notes the Tax Authority.
