The islands of the Western and Central Azores will be under a yellow warning on Tuesday due to forecasts of heavy rain, the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) reported today.

According to a statement from the IPMA, the islands of the Western group (Flores and Corvo) will be under a yellow warning between midnight and 9am on Tuesday due to "sometimes heavy rainfall, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms."
For the islands of the Central Azores group (Pico, Faial, São Jorge, Terceira, and Graciosa), the yellow warning, also due to "sometimes heavy rainfall," will be in effect from midnight to 9 pm on Tuesday.
