A fire that started this Thursday afternoon in the kitchen of the Burger King restaurant at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon has led to an evacuation of part of the airport.

The fire was extinguished, but smoke forced the evacuation of the check-in area in the departures area, ECO confirmed through a source at ANA.

According to SIC Notícias, the alert to authorities was issued at 2:56 PM. Smoke from the fire entering the air ducts forced passengers in the departures area to be evacuated from the building.
