The initiative will feature live shows, activities, and a street food and beverage area in Parque Verde do Mondego, aiming to create a refreshing riverside environment, said João Claro, from the event organizer.
One of the new features this year is "Refresca Fun," an expansion of the previous "Refresca Kids" area, suitable for all ages. It will allow people to cool off throughout the day with inflatables, water guns, ball pits, mini golf, target shooting, chess, and bubble shooting.
During the event presentation, the event organizer emphasized that the evening will be more focused on drinks, food, and shows, highlighting the band Vizinhos, performing for the first time in Coimbra on Saturday, 30 August, as one of the highlights of the program.
Friday will feature millennial music, featuring performances by Revival Night, Fabior DJ, and Pedro Cazanova, with a live performance by Andrea Soares.
The final day will be more Lusophone, with Brazilian music that "challenges the audience to dance," through Forró Coimbra, a samba circle with Rodrigo Silveira, and +55.
For the mayor of Coimbra, José Manuel Silva, this "is another moment of urban dynamism for the city," in which the municipality has invested 15,000 euros. Refresca is a free festival, and you can reuse your cup from last year or, optionally, purchase one this year, while Refresca Fun has tickets starting at five euros.
