After you park your car, you will enjoy a short walk before reaching the beach. This lovely trail is lined with olive and carob trees. At the end of the walk is a paved ramp and wooden steps, leading down to the golden sand. There are a few parking spots closer to the beach, but you will need to arrive early to get one.

Praia da Coelha is a small, sheltered beach surrounded by calm and crystal-clear waters and high cliffs. Before summer, the high cliffs often cast shade earlier in the afternoon, but they also provide protection from strong winds. It is a perfect spot for a peaceful swim, a short beach walk or a lazy afternoon searching for seashells. The sand on the beach is really soft, perfect for kids to play and build their sandcastles. You can also have a walk along the cliffs, just be careful and remember to keep a safe distance from the edge. This walk allows you to see the beach and coast from another perspective.

Praia da Coelha is also a favourite spot for photographers thanks to its beautiful golden cliffs. It often reminds me of the famous Praia da Marinha.

Overlooking the beach is a restaurant that has been operating for more than 40 years. The views from this restaurant are spectacular. Here you can enjoy fresh food and amazing cocktails. I can recommend their amazing Nachos if you want to have a light snack on the beach. If you are looking for something more filling, their spaghetti with fresh clams or crab burger is also worth a try. In the peak season, they have extra tables on the beach. Normally you can choose between the terrace or the indoor area of the restaurant. In summer, they also host lively DJ parties. They are open from March to November.

Praia da Coelha is well-equipped with beach facilities, including sunbeds, a lifeguard service, and even a masseuse offering therapeutic massages on the sand.
