The refinement of wines and the intense aroma of cheeses will once again be found at Apolónia Supermarkets during the Wine and Cheese Fair, which will take place from September 4th to 21st in the three physical stores and online.

This event promises an authentic journey through national and international flavours, featuring renowned products suitable for all palates and several new products. With over 600 wines and 200 cheeses from different regions and countries, and with discounts of up to 50%, this Fair is an invitation to discover the perfect combinations of distinct aromas and textures and a memorable experience among a selection of the best national and international products.

One of the new features this year is the possibility of tasting non-alcoholic wines and sparkling wines, in addition to the wines and cheeses that will be available throughout the event.

But the big news at the renowned Apolónia Wine and Cheese Fair is that, for the first time, there's one name that stands out from all the others in terms of discounts: Romanée-Conti. A French wine, produced in Vosne-Romanée, in the Côte de Nuits, whose usual price in Apolónia stores is €36,950. Considered by many to be the best wine in the world, it is an essential reference of the Burgundy region and coveted by collectors and wine lovers worldwide.

As in previous years, this year's edition aims to reinforce the price range of Apolónia wines, ranging from €2.99 to €36,950, making them ideal not only for all tastes and occasions, but also for all budgets.

As usual, the event features a diverse catalogue featuring some of the best wines and cheeses on sale. Among the cheeses, national sheep, goat, cow, and mixed cheeses stand out, while international cheeses include buffalo milk from various countries, such as Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the USA, including DOP, IGP, organic, and exclusive wines.

As for wine, the catalogue highlights national wines from various Portuguese regions, such as Douro, Dão, Bairrada, Beira Interior, Lisbon, Tejo, Setúbal, Alentejo, Algarve, Vinho Verde, Azores, Madeira, and Port. Non-alcoholic wines of various nationalities and types, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines; and international wines, specifically from Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the United States of America (USA), Canada, South Africa, Chile, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as a section dedicated solely to Champagne.

This year's catalogue features the identification of Ânfora and Nat'Cool wines, as well as the indication of the wines' alcohol content, information increasingly valued by consumers when making purchasing decisions.

"The Wine and Cheese Fair is always an important and traditional moment for us, allowing us to celebrate the richness and diversity we have in these two specialities, both national and international. It also allows us to connect with our customers, providing them with sublime gastronomic experiences with unique pairings of the two featured delicacies, while also highlighting the wide range of prices in our wine selection, which ranges from affordable options to prestigious labels," says Ângela Sarmento, Marketing and Communications Director at Apolônia Supermarkets. "This year, for the first time, we are bringing to this event the prestigious Romanée-Conti, considered by many to be the best wine in the world, and a benchmark that elevates any cellar," she adds.
