According to data from the National Charging Network there were achieved results, across various indicators, that prove that Portugal is a leading country, when it comes to energy transition and the uptake of electric vehicles.
Essential Business states that, in August, there were made 873,000 charges in the country, in August, 48% more when compared to the same period last year. In total, there were 153.000 users of the charging stations, 54% more than in August 2024. In total, it was consumed more energy, totalling 20.3 GWh, more 62% when compared to the same period last year.
The study also states that Fridays are usually the busiest days on charging stations, when, on average, 29,000 charges are made. The same source has also revealed that the record day for charging vehicles, in August, totalled 30,000 charges in a single day. The record was achieved four times, being twice registered on a Friday.
