In 30th place is Católica Lisbon, and Iscte Business School occupies the 87th position, while two other schools were also included, according to Portugal Decoded.
First time in the top 5
Nova SBE’s position marks the first entrance of Portugal in the top 5 of the global ranking, which the director, Pedro Oliveira, quoted by the same media outlet, states that “this result places a Portuguese school’s management programme among the five best in the world and confirms Nova SBE at a level of absolute international excellence.”
“It proves that Portugal now has a business school capable of training global leaders with real impact on society. It is a historic milestone for Nova SBE and for the country.”
School’s international profile
Católica Lisbon’s Master in Management Dean, Filipe Santos, underlines the international profile and curricular focus of the institution, “with a cohort that is more than 90% international, we offer rigorous, global education aligned with companies’ innovation and growth challenges, while addressing society’s sustainability goals.” He also mentioned that whoever graduates in the school is “prepared for successful global careers and active citizenship.”
Dean Maria João Cortinhal, Dean of Iscte Business School, ranked in 87th place, states that the recognition is “an unequivocal sign of quality and international impact.” According to her, the school will still invest in innovation, focusing on internationalisation and even create stronger relationships with businesses.
The other schools
According to the ranking, two other Portuguese schools were highlighted, such as the University of Porto – FEP|PBS, which ranks in 62nd place. Still in the same district, the Católica Porto Business School was awarded the 95th place.
