This five-star hotel from the PBH hotel group arrives in the Algarve with 250 rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, a spa, five dining options, a kids' club, and event spaces.
The new Wine & Books by The Sea, Algarve Resort follows the rebranding of VidaMar Hotels & Resorts, a property open since 2013 that has made its mark on the national hotel scene. Now, it has a new concept and strategic positioning.
"The Wine & Books Hotels brand seeks to convey what Portugal is and what it means to be Portuguese, based on national literature, gastronomy, and wines." The essence of this project is to, in some way, be messengers of Portuguese culture through a rich, disruptive, and complementary tourism and lodging experience. This new venture in the Algarve is a testament to this strategy and seeks to elevate the destination to a new level of quality, excellence, exclusivity, and personalization," said Carlos Saraiva, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the PBH group, in a report by idealista.
Located in the Salgados Nature Reserve, the resort will feature 250 rooms, divided into seven types, including suites, connecting rooms, and rooms with sea views. It also features four outdoor and two indoor pools, a gym, a spa, a kids' club, and event spaces.
Scheduled to open in February, the adaptation project to the new brand – Wine & Books by the Sea Algarve Resort – represents an investment of 12 million euros, in what is the third unit of the Wine & Books Hotels brand, following the opening in Lisbon in 2021 and in Porto in 2024.
