The races take place between the Açoteias Cross Country Track and the trails of Praia da Falésia and are the culmination of a competition that has already taken place in countries such as the United Kingdom, France, and Hungary.
The initiative is promoted by Onewheel Algarve and is supported by the Albufeira City Council. In addition to the continental title race, the event includes several events open to all interested parties.

On the first day, October 3rd, the program is exclusively dedicated to open races, with the "Infinite Race" (10 am) and "Surf & Dirt" (3 pm).
The following day, October 4th, the program kicks off with the European Onewheel League finals. The competition is scheduled to begin at 9 am and will take place at the Açoteias Cross Country Track. In the afternoon, there is still time for two more races: the "Groom Legends Chairs" (3 p.m.), followed by the "Apocalypse Race" (4 p.m.).
On the final day, the event features two competition categories open to all interested parties.

The day begins with the "OWA Games" at 9 a.m., followed by the "BETR Finals" at 3 p.m., concluding this year's edition. The awards ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Besides the sporting aspect, the event also includes a component promoting environmental responsibility. In recent days, participants have been involved in cleanup efforts at the various locations where the race will be held.
"Onewheel" emerged in the middle of the last decade and has been attracting increasing numbers of fans. It is a sport that combines snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing, and is practiced using a board with only one wheel on the central axle," explains the Albufeira municipality in a statement.
For the 2025 edition of the European finals, the organization expects to welcome more than 100 athletes, coming from more than 20 different countries.
