Ahmet Sahiner, Director of Turkish Airlines in Lisbon, revealed that the airline plans to increase its Lisbon operations to 21 weekly flights by 2026, a development announced during the Turkish airline's 20th anniversary dinner in the Portuguese capital.

"More than an airline, Turkish Airlines has become a bridge. Over the past 20 years, our Lisbon route has become a hub for business, tourism, culture, and diplomacy. Through this connection, thousands of people have discovered new opportunities, partnerships, and experiences," the official said during the event's celebrations, which brought together travel agents, business partners, and government and municipal authorities.

During his speech, Ahmet Sahiner gave a positive assessment of the route connecting Lisbon to Istanbul, which began with three flights per week and currently has 19 weekly frequencies, revealing that the airline has "plans to increase this number to 21 weekly flights by 2026."

The director of Turkish Airlines in Portugal also mentioned Porto, which began in 2015 and which increases the number of air connections between Portugal and Turkey to 33 weekly flights, "the equivalent of six daily flights on peak days."
