"The news is that we will have Sting on the beach, in Figueira da Foz, on July 17th, for a unique and exclusive concert in Portugal," according to Tiago Castelo Branco, general director of the production company MOT – Memories of Tomorrow.
The show by the 74-year-old British singer, songwriter, musician, and actor is part of the "Sting 3.0" world tour, currently underway, and will take place at Praia do Relógio, the venue used a few days earlier for the 2026 edition of the RFM Somnii electronic music festival.
"This opportunity arose to perform a concert of this magnitude at sunset, in Figueira da Foz, on the beach. And that's what also sparked the artist and his team's interest in taking on this challenge," explained Tiago Castelo Branco.
Produced by MOT in collaboration with Live Nation, the Portuguese leg of the "Sting 3.0" tour will focus on the greatest hits from the British musician's nearly 50-year career, from his time as lead singer and bassist for The Police in the late 1970s to his solo career, which began in the following decade and includes 16 albums of new material.
According to MOT, the multi-award-winning British artist (who has won, among other awards, 17 Grammys, the so-called Oscars of music, from 45 nominations) will perform in Portugal in a unique trio format, accompanied by longtime guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas, "offering an intimate and intense interpretation of classics from his career."

Sting has performed in Portugal seven times – the first in 1993, at the old José de Alvalade stadium, and the last in 2017, at the Marés Vivas festival in Vila Nova de Gaia.
"The greatest asset is that, nine years later, Sting returns to Portugal and has the opportunity to provide the Portuguese with a show that has always been great. We're talking about one of the greatest artists of his kind in the world, with an unforgettable career," emphasized the MOT director.
Tickets for Sting's show in Figueira da Foz will be on sale to the general public on Friday, starting at 10 am, at stingportugal.pt, with prices starting at 60 euros for a standard ticket and 120 euros for VIP admission.
