Traditionally a three-day festival, Vagos has steadily expanded in recent years, growing to four days in 2025. Next year’s edition will take place from 5 to 9 August at the Quinta do Ega in Vagos, Aveiro district.
The first names revealed for the 2026 bill highlight the event’s ambition to cement its place among Europe’s notable metal festivals. Alongside the newly announced Within Temptation and Lamb of God, confirmed acts include In Flames, Godsmack, Heaven Shall Burn, Deicide, Combichrist, Filii Nigrantium Infernalium, Holocausto Canibal, Rivetskull and The Fall of Creation.
Festival passes are already on sale at €159. Early bird tickets were previously available at a reduced price of €99.99 during this summer’s edition.
The 2025 festival, held at the end of July and beginning of August, featured an extensive line-up with international heavyweights such as P.O.D., Mayhem, Hatebreed, Candlemass, Gorgoroth, Exploited and Destruction, among many others. That edition also marked the first expansion to four days, a move that was met with enthusiasm by the public and reinforced the organisers’ ambition to develop Vagos into a must-attend event for the international metal community.
By stretching to five days in 2026, Vagos Metal Fest not only offers more music but also strengthens its reputation as Portugal’s flagship heavy music festival. With a growing roster of globally recognised acts, the festival continues to attract fans from across Europe and beyond, establishing Vagos as a summer destination for metal enthusiasts.
