Annually, the municipality of Portimão sends approximately 30,200 tons of unsorted waste to landfills, with an estimated 40% of this volume being food scraps.
With this project, EMARP aims to reduce the disposal of biodegradable waste in landfills, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting the local recovery of organic matter. The resulting compost could be used in gardening or agriculture, contributing to more fertile and healthy soils.
The initiative is part of the municipal sustainability and circular economy strategy, aligned with the national objectives of PERSU 2030 and the National Biowaste Strategy, reinforcing Portimão's role as an environmentally responsible municipality.

Does anyone know if they are available from AmbiOlhao? I can't see anything on their website.
