VinFast, a Vietnamese automaker, has reported selling 103,884 electric vehicles in the first nine months of the year, surpassing Toyota’s annual sales in the country.

In 2024, the company sold 87,000 EVs against Toyota’s 66,578 mostly gasoline-powered cars, though 28 percent of sales went to affiliate Green and Smart Mobility.
The company now accounts for roughly half of all cars sold in Vietnam, with 205,125 vehicles purchased nationwide so far this year.
