The current infrastructure, with several decades of use, has been responsible for frequent failures, making its renewal urgent, according to the local council.

“The new pipeline will guarantee greater reliability and stability in the water supply, mainly benefiting the populations of Carvoeiro, Sesmarias, and Ferragudo who depend directly on this network”.

The project has a planned execution period of two months, which may be extended for an equal period, and represents a municipal investment of €296,999.53. The contract was awarded on June 9, 2025, and is currently underway.

With this intervention, the Municipality of Lagoa reaffirms "its commitment to ensuring an efficient, robust, and future-proof water supply network, in a permanent effort to enhance and maintain this essential public service for the quality of life of all residents."
