The office will “provide psychological first aid and pain relief, and promote active listening,” and is intended for all residents of the municipality who have been victims of Kristin's depression.

“We want to continue to support our citizens in the best way possible and, therefore, we cannot neglect their mental health, especially in this more fragile and vulnerable moment we are living through,” councilwoman Célia Ferreira explained.

According to the councilwoman, this assistance is possible thanks to the availability of “a group of volunteers with expertise in Psychology, with the knowledge and proximity of the health professionals at the UCC, and also with the help of professionals from the Portuguese Order of Psychologists, which provides a pool of volunteers for this purpose”.

To receive this free support, those interested should call the City Hall (244 769 110) or the Batalha UCC (244 769 922) and will subsequently be contacted to schedule an appointment.

Psychologists or professionals specialising in Psychology who wish to provide voluntary assistance in this office may contact the municipality.
