She studied Astrological Psychology at the Astrological Psychology Association and has many years of experience helping people understand themselves and the cycles of life. I didn’t really know what to expect or what I would learn, but I gave her my date, time, and place of birth so my chart would be ready.
First impressions
From the second I arrived, Andrada made me feel completely at ease. She immediately said she knew I would come on time, based on my chart, which reads that I’m a responsible and punctual person. I had imagined something more like storytelling or card readings, but that wasn’t what happened at all. Andrada is very down-to-earth and clearly very experienced in astrology and astronomy.
We started by chatting a little about our lives, and then she moved on to the chart reading. What surprised me most is that astrology isn’t about predicting the future. It’s more like a map of your life based on the positions of the planets at your birth. It shows major cycles, themes, and possible shifts in your life, but it doesn’t tell you exactly what will happen or whether it will be good or bad.

For me, it was uncanny. Andrada pointed out major events in my life—starting university, moving abroad, and the birth of my son—and they all lined up perfectly with the planetary patterns in my chart. She explained that there are still major shifts coming, but she can only show which areas of life might be affected, not the exact events.
Finding “home” through astrology
One of my biggest questions was about where I might feel most at home. After living ten years abroad, I’m wondering if this is the place where I am meant to be. Andrada showed me a map with lines representing potential places to live based on my chart. Interestingly enough, my “best” line crosses the Iberian Peninsula, especially Malaga, which is my favourite city. A place where I would visit immediately! My home country means a safe and grounding place, a root I can always return to. This is called relocation astrology.

Sun, Moon, and Rising — the core of you
Then we moved into the heart of astrology: the Sun, Moon, and Rising signs. Andrada explained each one really well, in a way that is easy to understand for someone unfamiliar with astrology.
She described the Sun sign as the core of who you are — your nature. Mine is Cancer, which really resonated with me. I tend to feel things deeply, rely on my intuition, and always try to protect the people I love.
The Moon sign, she explained, reflects your inner emotional world — how you process feelings on the inside. My Moon is in Gemini, which explains why I often make sense of my emotions by talking about them or thinking them through.
Then there’s the Rising sign. I found this really interesting, as most people only know their Sun sign, but it’s the rising sign that represents how you show up in the world and the first impression people usually get of you. With Virgo Rising, I tend to come across as practical, organised, and grounded.
Andrada also explained the elements in astrology—Water, Earth, Fire, and Air—and how they show up in your personality.

Modes: how we express ourselves
Then came the modes, which describe how a sign expresses its energy. There are three modes: Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable. Cardinal signs—like Cancer—are initiators; they love to start projects and take action. Fixed signs are persistent and stable; they see things through and resist change. Mutable signs are adaptable and flexible; they adjust easily to whatever comes their way. My chart is full of Cardinal placements. This explains why I naturally like to take the lead and make things happen. Sometimes that makes me jump into things too quickly or take on too much.
Astronomy
Another important part of Andrada’s work is her strong focus on astronomy. She doesn’t just interpret symbols, but she carefully tracks the real positions of the planets and the Moon and explains how their movements can influence our emotions, energy, and the rhythms of everyday life. “Sky is a living system that is constantly influencing us, affecting moods, timing, and life cycles in subtle but powerful ways.”

Her work is based on astronomical data, not just abstract ideas. This interpretation felt like a bridge between science and intuition, helping me understand not only what the chart shows, but why it makes sense.
Final thoughts
Visiting Andrada was a great experience. Astrology gave me a better understanding of my personality and life events, without telling me exactly what will happen. It wasn’t about predicting the future; it was about understanding who I am. It didn't feel like a mystical prediction but more like a conversation with myself. As she says, “Astrology reading is not a rulebook to follow blindly but a tool for reflection and awareness.” Andrada’s approach is practical and insightful, blending astrology with astronomy in a manner that seems meaningful and realistic.
