Nestled in the picturesque fishing village of Ferragudo, this beach is a hidden gem where natural beauty and history meet. The striking Fort of São João do Arade rises above the south side of the beach, adding drama and history to this beach. It is also known as the Castle of São João do Arade.

Angrinha Beach is technically a river beach, as it's located along the Arade River. The waters are very calm, perfect for a peaceful swim. During low tide, you can stroll along the castle to reach the next beach. At the end of the beach, you will find a beach bar called "Escondidinho", which means "hidden". The name makes sense as it's not the easiest place to spot. This bar is a great stop if you’re in the mood for a drink or a snack by the water. If you continue walking, you will reach Praia Grande, a larger beach with more facilities, often considered the main beach of Ferragudo.

Angrinha beach is very quiet, with no big resorts around. Across the Arade River, you can see the marina of Portimão. It is located close to the centre of Ferragudo, so you can enjoy a lovely morning at the beach and then take a short walk to the centre for lunch.
