Having become over-grown, it was decided that smaller groups would survive better, so they approached Lisa at ABLE (Animal Blue Light Emergency) to make the threesome. “The most important thing is for all of our charities to survive the past few years of financial difficulties.” Jenny, Su and Lisa have one thing in common. Raising funds.
SF’s Mike and Sue built a hub working out of Algoz for families in need to be able to collect important items to help them, babies and young children get through difficult times. Lisa on the other hand, has a unique service. ABLE covers a difficult often sensitive but much required community requirement. An injured probably abandoned sick animal, may be rescued more often, if the rescuer didn’t have to foot the initial vet costs. “It makes sense.” Jenny smiles.

“We have a lot of feral-cats, cat-colonies and abandoned animals to manage. Making donations or a helping hand is always happily received. APAA’s SNiP (Spaying & Neutering Programme) is their way of reducing the feral-cat problem within the community. “We three ask ‘help us’ so we can help you!” Which is why APAA’s Anita decided to have a special floral-arranging picnic-lunch event at her beautiful countryside home. “Paul and Pasi gave tips and advice with demonstrations. Also presenting the ladies with the vase of their choice to make their own floral arrangement and take it home!” Perfect.
Accompanied by a special picnic-box lunch all edibles home-made provided by Jenny, included, Coronation chicken tartlets, sandwiches, savoury Danish pastries and a selection of cakes. A beautiful sunny day and a wonderful way to raise money and awareness for APAA’s SNiP. Anita known for her ‘Pop-Up’ Shops, is also Ambassador for ‘Legacy for Pets’. “A simple way of looking after your pets’ welfare should you be taken ill or die. It doesn’t have to be complicated!” Make contact now for information.
