Authorities are also preparing a bid to list Nakai Nam Theun National Park as a World Heritage Site. The plans were discussed at a Ministry of Culture and Tourism meeting reviewing 2025 progress and 2026 strategy. The initiative aims to link cultural preservation with tourism development as a key economic pillar.
