The multi-state project will support centres across four Gulf states, helping ensure uninterrupted care for more than half a million residents before, during and after extreme weather events and power outages.

Led by the Louisiana Public Health Institute, the initiative brings together regional partners to strengthen coordination, infrastructure and long-term resilience. By equipping trusted local clinics to remain open during disruptions, the project aims to improve emergency response, continuity of care and communication systems across vulnerable coastal communities facing increasingly frequent climate-related disasters.
