Rafa, in the 46th minute, and Pavlidis, in the 90+5 minute, from a penalty, scored the goals for Benfica, while Pau Victor, in the 48th minute, and Gorby, in the 88th minute, scored the equalisers for Braga, securing fourth place and a place in the Europa League for the Minho team.
With their second consecutive draw in the championship, and with Sporting's 4-1 victory away to Rio Ave, Benfica were relegated to third place with 77 points, two less than the 'lions', while Sporting Braga, who have now gone three games without a win, settled into fourth place with 58 points, five more than Famalicão in fifth.
