The IPMA forecasts light rain and strong winds, with gusts reaching up to 70 km/h along the west coast and highland areas of the mainland.

Mainland Portugal will see cloudy skies, with light showers most likely in the North and Central regions until mid-afternoon. Later, clouds are expected to clear from north to south, leading to a gradual improvement in weather conditions.

Wind remains the main concern, blowing from the north or northwest at weak to moderate speeds up to 30 km/h, increasing to moderate or strong (30 to 45 km/h) on the west coast and in highland areas. Gusts could reach up to 70 km/h in these regions. A slight drop in maximum temperatures is expected, mainly inland.

Lisbon

In Greater Lisbon, skies will remain very cloudy, becoming partly cloudy from mid-afternoon onward.

Light showers are possible until mid-afternoon, with winds from the north or northwest, sometimes moderate to strong, and gusts reaching up to 70 km/h along the coast.

Porto

In Greater Porto, very cloudy skies and light showers are expected until early afternoon. Gradually, the cloud cover will decrease, leaving the sky partly cloudy or clear. Winds from the north or northwest will be moderate to strong along the coast, with gusts reaching up to 60 km/h.

Madeira

For Madeira, the IPMA forecasts mostly cloudy skies and showers, mainly until mid-afternoon.

Rain will be more frequent and intense on Madeira's northern slopes and in the highlands. Winds from the north will range from weak to moderate, occasionally becoming strong (up to 40 km/h), especially in the highlands and at the eastern and western ends until early afternoon.

In the Funchal region, expect scattered showers and light winds.

Azores

In the Azores, Friday is expected to be less severe, featuring periods of very cloudy skies and clear intervals across all three island groups.

In the Central group, light showers are generally possible. In the Western and Eastern groups, expect mainly variable cloudiness, light to moderate winds, and calm seas.

On the western coast of the mainland, northwest waves of 2 to 3 meters are expected, with sea temperatures between 16 and 17 degrees Celsius.

On the southern coast, waves from the southwest will be less than 1 meter, possibly reaching 1 meter briefly during the afternoon.

Although widespread bad weather is not expected throughout the day, showers, strong winds, and gusts up to 70 km/h will require extra caution along the west coast, in the highlands, and in coastal areas of Greater Lisbon and Greater Porto.
