Given the high number of visitors and incidents, the Benagil Caves — one of the most popular attractions in the Algarve — have been subject, since last year, to new rules designed to guarantee navigation safety, the protection of visitors and operators, as well as environmental preservation.

The current regulation, published in Notice 019/2024 – Navigation in the maritime area of the Benagil Caves, is the result of the recommendations of the “Benagil Caves” working group and marks a step forward in the construction of sustainable solutions for the responsible use of this coastal area.

Participation is open to companies registered with RNAAT, with a maximum of two representatives per entity, limited to the capacity of the room and subject to prior registration here.
