With these two lines, passengers from Braga now have access to up to 22 direct connections to the airport, 11 in each direction, while passengers from Guimarães now have access to 14 direct connections, 7 in each direction. Both journeys last 40 minutes, providing a quick, efficient and comfortable solution for everyone travelling to and from the airport in the north of Portugal.

According to Tiago Cavaco Alves, operations director of FlixBus in Portugal, “the aim of these new connections is to offer more mobility alternatives to everyone who uses Sá Carneiro Airport. With more and better timetables, we see that more and more people are opting for buses to travel to and from the airport.”

These two new lines reinforce FlixBus’ strategy of increasing direct connections to all national airports, promoting public transport as a practical, economical and sustainable alternative for passengers travelling by plane.

“By facilitating access to the country’s main airports, we are contributing to more integrated and environmentally friendly mobility, encouraging more and more passengers to choose the bus to travel to and from the airport,” says Tiago Cavaco Alves.

Tickets for the new service between Porto Airport and the cities of Braga and Guimarães are now available on the FlixBus platforms, with prices starting at €2.99.
