Analysis conducted by the Cloudwards platform identified the most overcrowded beaches in the world based on thousands of reviews from TripAdvisor users. Among the names highlighted, there is a Portuguese beach on the podium.
The research considered keywords such as ‘crowded’, ‘packed’ and ‘too busy’ to measure the percentage of comments that mention the excessive presence of people.
It was through this system that it was possible to draw up an international ranking of the areas with the greatest tourist pressure by the sea.
According to the same source, most of the most overcrowded beaches in the world are located in Europe.
Italy leads with three beaches mentioned, followed by Spain, which also comes in with three entries. Portugal enters the rankings with Praia da Falésia, in the Algarve.
Praia da Falésia is often highlighted for its size and photogenic landscapes. However, the growing popularity of this Portuguese beach has resulted in a high rate of complaints about overcrowding, particularly in the summer months.
The list is not limited to the European continent. According to the same source, beaches such as Poipu Beach Park, in Hawaii, also appear in this survey.
The tragedy is portugal has become as bad as the Costa del sol.
Many beaches in the algarve become so full in the summer you cant even get near the car parks.
Add to that the fact that multiple beaches are frequently shut for swimming due to fecal matter pollution as a result of tens of thousands of people all standing in the water together.
The Algarve has been continually exploited by people that dont even live here and has become nothing more than a soul less theme park with massive overdevelopment of purely short term rental propertied, increasing crime and anti social behaviour.
All the reasons that people came here, uncrowded beaches ,unspoilt land, clean air,the opposite of the belearics and magaluf, have been destroyed.
Last one to leave please turn out the lights

"The Algarve has been continually exploited by people that dont even live here ."
Very true but why?
The government has given these bad tourists permission.
The are no repercussions for bad behavior.
The so called bad behavior rules are not enforced.
Now they want to have a "grace period".
Why do you need a grace period to to enforce fines for?:
Public unrination
Sex in a public area.
Throwing your empty beer bottles in the street.
It is a few in a long list and it is time to stopping this behavior.
A grace period is not needed.
Enforcement is.
It seems that the municipalities are more concerned about the tourists, than they are about the people that live here.
