According to the Public Security Police (PSP), in a statement sent to Notícias ao Minuto, the police will be there to "help Portuguese citizens, through the provision of useful information, serving as a point of contact with the local authorities".

About 1,000, 1,700, and 1,300 Portuguese fans are expected at the games against Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea, respectively.
