At the end of two days of counting the votes from emigrants, which took place at the Lisbon Industrial Fair (FIL), where 150 tables with seven members each counted the choices of Portuguese citizens living abroad, Chega became the second party in terms of parliamentary representation.

This party obtained 92,192 votes in these constituencies, followed by the PSD/CDS coalition (56,460) and the PS (47,693).

The emigrants, therefore, chose Chega and the PSD as the parties of the four deputies elected by the European (two) and Non-European (two) constituencies.

Following this vote, José Manuel Fernandes (AD) and José Dias Fernandes (Chega) were elected in the European constituency, and José Cesário (AD) and Manuel Magno Alves (Chega) were elected in the Outside Europe constituency. Chega won in the European constituency, with 28.20% of the votes, followed by the PSD/CDS coalition (14.65%) and the PS (13.54%). Chega also received the most votes in the Outside Europe constituency (20.78%), while the PSD/CDS coalition came in second (19.60%) and the PS in third: 13.50%. Of the 1,515,519 Portuguese voters residing abroad, registered to vote in these districts, only 352,503 voted, or 22.24%. After counting the votes of these 17 consulates in the emigration districts, the PSD/CDS coalition obtained 88 deputies, Chega 60 and PS 58.
