Blaya began working on her second album in late 2024, but it was during lockdown that she gained a new creative perspective. Her journey, however, goes back a long way: born in Fortaleza and raised in the Alentejo, she grew up surrounded by freedom and dance performances, always with a notebook in which she turned her dreams into songs. It was dance that led her to join Buraka Som Sistema in 2008, and in 2013 she released a self-titled solo EP. The single “Faz Gostoso” cemented her status as an icon, with the track reaching 15 million streams and over 42 million views.
