What began with early rain soon transformed into glorious sunshine—perfect conditions for the 40 eager players who took to the fairways with enthusiasm, laughter, and a shared purpose.

The Pinhal course looked superb, thanks to the meticulous work of the grounds team, and our players were treated to a special delight: golf professionals Vítor Lopes and Ricardo Costa, who demonstrated how the experts drive a ball and finesse the par-3s. Their skill—and good humour—brought smiles and inspiration to golfers of all levels.

Following the tournament, everyone gathered for a magnificent lunch, lovingly prepared by the catering staff. The warm atmosphere, good food, and excellent company created a truly convivial experience. Our wonderful volunteers, including the energetic Interact students from the Quarteira Secondary School, kept the day running smoothly and ensured every guest felt welcomed and supported.

After an enjoyable morning on the course, the honours went to the winning team:

Graham Smith, Charles Baldock, Richard Parker and Stephen Fitzpatrick, who secured victory with an impressive 96 Stableford points.

But the greatest triumph of all came after the prize-giving, when a lively charity auction helped us reach a record-breaking fundraising total of €12,000. This fantastic amount will directly support local charities in Almancil, Quarteira, and Vilamoura, helping those who need it most in our community.
