“In total, 130 economic operators were inspected, 1,029 toy units were seized, resulting in the initiation of criminal proceedings for counterfeiting, imitation and illegal use of trademarks, and also eight administrative proceedings for non-compliance with the obligations of toy distributors, lack of labelling in Portuguese, lack of CE marking, among other irregularities,” revealed ASAE in a statement.

The nationwide "ToySafe" operation focused on the trade of toys intended for children under 14 years of age, with the aim of "preventing risks" arising from placing products on the market that do not comply with standards and ensuring that economic operators fully comply with legal obligations.
