Strong winds are affecting operations at Madeira International Airport - Cristiano Ronaldo for the second consecutive day on 9 June, with reports of eight arrivals cancelled as of 10:10 am.

According to the ANA Aeroportos de Portugal website, flights from Terceira (Azores), Porto, Lisbon, Basel, Lyon, and London have been cancelled.
Taking advantage of the so-called "open spells" (improvement in wind speed), 12 planes managed to land in Madeira.
The situation is affecting hundreds of passengers and their corresponding scheduled departures.
