Portugal has a training session scheduled for 3 pm Lisbon time at Gardens North County District Park in Palm Beach, their training camp location during the World Cup, with 15 minutes open to the media.

The presence of centre-back Tomás Araújo at training is the main question mark, as he has not trained with the team since the opening match against the Democratic Republic of Congo (1-1), in which he was a starter, and has instead been doing individualised work.

In the early afternoon, the team coached by Roberto Martínez will travel to Houston, the city that will once again host the Portuguese team’s match.

Later, at 00:45 on 23 June in Lisbon, the coach and a designated player will preview the match against Uzbekistan at NRG Stadium, which, as in the first round, will host Portugal’s game.

The Portuguese national team faces Uzbekistan on 23 June in Houston, with kickoff scheduled for 6 pm Lisbon time, in a match officiated by Moroccan Jalad Jayed.
