The districts of Viseu, Aveiro, and Coimbra will be under a yellow warning between 3 pm on 24 June and midnight on 25 June, and Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, and Braga will be under a yellow warning between 9 pm on 24 June and 6 am on 25 June.
The IPMA also issued a yellow warning for the districts of Bragança, Guarda, and Vila Real due to hot weather until 6 pm on 24 June.
The yellow warning is the least severe on a three-level scale and is issued whenever there is a risk to certain weather-dependent activities.
IPMA forecasts for today on the mainland periods of very cloudy skies, showers from the afternoon onwards, which may be heavy, with hail and accompanied by thunderstorms, light to moderate wind, fog on the west coast and a drop in maximum temperature.
Minimum temperatures will range between 16 degrees Celsius (Setúbal) and 21 (Castelo Branco) and maximum temperatures between 22 degrees (Viana do Castelo) and 35 (Évora).
