The event is free to attend, with a line-up featuring performances by Daniel Sax and Deejay Cabrita, aimed at “livening up the late afternoon for those who live in or are visiting the town”, as revealed in a press release sent to The Portugal News.

The event is organised by the Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro (UFLC), with the support of Lagoa Municipal Council. The Lagoa Sunset Sessions join the initiatives promoted by the parish to liven up the summer, which, in addition to providing leisure, aims to “enhance local public spaces.” Following the success of the Carvoeiro Sunset Sessions, which brought concerts to the village of Carvoeiro throughout July, it is now Lagoa’s turn to “host this new social event.”

Quoted in the press release, José Manuel Fernandes, president of the UFLC, states that the parish wants the spaces most cherished by its residents “to also be the setting for good times. The 5 de Outubro Garden belongs to everyone, and there’s nothing better than launching this initiative here, with music bringing residents and tourists together for a special late afternoon.”

Thus, the UFLC continues to invest in culture and leisure, revitalising various spaces across the municipality, “making these spaces more vibrant and accessible to all.”
