Originally developed as a 4-star tourist development, Hibiscus Gardens has recently seen a significant change in ownership, with a number of properties acquired by new owners.

The resort is made up of pool villas, townhouses and apartments, set within landscaped surroundings and three communal swimming pools. Located within walking distance of Carvoeiro and the beach, Hibiscus Gardens is also directly next to Quinta do Paraíso, one of Carvoeiro Clube Group’s established resorts.

The proximity to Quinta do Paraíso offers further opportunities for Hibiscus Gardens. Guests can enjoy a range of dining and leisure options at the neighbouring resort, including the popular restaurant, Trattoria Oliveira, Caravela Pool Bar, offering snacks and cocktails, and Rabelo, which serves buffet breakfast.

The location also makes Hibiscus Gardens a natural fit for Carvoeiro Clube Group. Four of the Group’s resorts are located close to the development, while its head office is also within walking distance. This means Hibiscus Gardens can benefit from the Group’s existing teams, equipment, administration and operational resources.

Founded in 1982, Carvoeiro Clube Group has more than four decades of experience in tourism, hospitality, property management and real estate in the Algarve. Today, the Group operates and manages more than 10 holiday resorts in and around Carvoeiro, as well as hotels and guest houses, with more than 200 full-time employees working locally and more than 500 properties under management.

For Patricia Bürer, CEO of Carvoeiro Clube Group, the appointment also has a personal connection. Patricia has known the resort since the early days of her career in Carvoeiro, when she was based in the Group’s office at Quinta do Paraíso, directly next door to Hibiscus Gardens.

“Hibiscus Gardens has always been very close to us, both geographically and personally. When I was working from our office at Quinta do Paraíso in the early days, Hibiscus Gardens was right next door, so I have known the resort for many years. We are delighted to now have the opportunity to look after it and to bring it into the Carvoeiro Clube Group family,” says Patricia Bürer.

The Group’s immediate priority is to establish the day-to-day operation of the resort and support its new owners. At the same time, it will be looking at how the resort can develop its offering for owners and guests and make the most of its existing facilities and location.

“We see a lot of potential at Hibiscus Gardens,” says Patricia Bürer. “There is a lot to explore, and we are excited about the possibilities. The resort has a wonderful location and a peaceful character, and we believe there is a real opportunity to build on these qualities and create something that works well for both owners and guests.”

The appointment marks a new phase for Hibiscus Gardens, with Carvoeiro Clube Group bringing its local knowledge, experience and resources to the resort and its new owners.
