The operator’s timetable states that the platform serving the Santa Apolónia direction, which has been closed since mid-August, will reopen to passengers this Thursday, 3 September, thus enabling regular service to resume in that direction.

Meanwhile, construction on the platform in the direction of Reboleira will begin on 3 September, and it will remain inaccessible and closed to trains until 28 September. While work is being carried out on the platform, the station’s South Atrium will also be closed from 14 September to 12 October for flooring replacement and renovation, the same period when the North Atrium is already in operation and has the new accessibility facilities installed.

Because of the expected disruptions, the company advises passengers to use the São Sebastião and Jardim Zoológico stations nearby as direct alternatives. For people who need to get to Praça de Espanha while one platform is closed, the operator recommends that they go to the next station on the platform that is open and then transfer to a train going in the opposite direction.
