Located directly on the beach, this little snack bar is just a few steps from the sand. It’s a great stop before heading to the beach, but also a handy option for a light lunch when you don’t want to go far or change out of your beach clothes.

Bar A Carlota is also a great place for families with kids; they have a kids’ menu, and parents can sit down with a coffee while the little ones play in the sand just a few steps away. For me, Carlota is also a favourite stop for a morning coffee. I like to walk along the Armação de Pêra promenade first and then stop here before the beach starts getting busy. With the sea right in front of you and the sand almost under your feet, it is a lovely way to start the day.
