According to operational data the low-cost airline released this Friday, 2 October, the load factor stood at 94%—unchanged from the same month the year before—across more than 111,700 flights.
Despite the rise in overall traffic, the carrier cancelled more than 1,000 flights in September.
The company attributed these operational disruptions to a new air traffic control system failure in the UK, air traffic controller strikes in Belgium, and temporary airspace closures caused by eruptions of Mount Etna in Italy.
Over the trailing 12-month period, Ryanair’s total passenger numbers reached 215.1 million—a 5% increase from the 203.9 million recorded in the prior period—while maintaining an average load factor of 94%.
