Joining in the Worldwide celebrations for bringing in the Harvest

Autumn is quietly arriving in the Algarve — softer mornings, quieter roads, and that familiar shift in the air.

As the season turns, Christ The King Anglican Church invites you to pause, gather, and celebrate the harvest.

On Sunday, 18 October at 10:30am, we will hold our Community Harvest Service in the Church on the Lake in the Jardim das Comunidades, Almancil. It’s a moment to give thanks for the abundance around us and to share that abundance with those who need it most. You are invited to bring your gifts of non‑perishable food donations (pulses, canned goods, oils, rice, pasta) to the Service. All contributions will support ASCA’s food pantry right here in Almancil.

Harvest Thanksgiving is an ancient tradition — from Celtic celebrations to Victorian church customs — all rooted in gratitude for the land and its gifts. Come celebrate with us, and give thanks for the rich produce of the Algarve.
