In a statement, the group says that one of the units offers 228 rooms and suites, four outdoor pools set in a green space designed with species native to the Algarve region and four restaurants.
According to the group, the structure includes “versatile spaces” for holding conferences, meetings and shows, including an auditorium with capacity for 1,596 people and an outdoor space with gardens with capacity for a thousand people.
“This is a hotel with a very comprehensive but also very personalised offering, which will create unforgettable memories for our guests,” says Pedro Neto, director of the hotel, quoted in the statement.
The other hotel unit, the Marriott Residences, includes 192 residences, with types T1 and T3, “being ideal spaces for extended stays”.
The property includes 10 outdoor pools, two restaurants, tennis and mini-golf courts, volleyball and soccer facilities, and indoor and outdoor sports areas.
“We want guests to feel that they have found their place in the Algarve, a place to create unforgettable memories, during a perfect stay, whether for leisure or work,” said Joana Pinteus, general director of the enterprise.
The North American hotel group concludes that the two new properties “reinforce Marriott’s presence in Portugal, while setting a standard of refinement for leisure and business hotels in the Algarve”.
